Two 60 minute non-contact visits a month may be approved for visitors coming from 150 miles or more away without being on the inmate's visiting list.
The inmate must submit an Inmate Request Form (DCC 7) at least 72 hours before the requested visit.
The request must state the visitor name(s) and the visitor(s) date of birth.
The visitor must provide an identification card with an address that supports they live over 150 miles or more away.
The visitor must call the lobby visitation sign-in officer at (402) 444-7400 to coordinate the day and time of the special visit. The visitor may leave a message if the lobby visitation sign-in officer is not available to take the telephone call. The lobby supervisor will contact the visitor to coordinate the date and time of the extended visit if a contact number is given. Lobby supervisor approves and schedules these visits.
If not approved in advance, these visits are at the discretion of the Watch Commander. The Watch Commander must approve additional 60-minute visitation during the month or any other special visits.
One time visitation may be approved by the Director or designee.
Subsequent visits will be contingent upon completion of an Inmate Visitation Request Form (DCC 23/24)
