Hiring Requirements

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess a valid drivers license
Training
Newly Hired Corrections Staff receive 6 weeks of training prior to assignment to shift.
Training provides 136 hours of classroom training reinforced by 104 hours of FTO/OJT (Field Training/On-The-Job).
Newly Hired Records staff receive 6 weeks of training prior to assignment to shift. Training provides 72 hours of classroom training reinforced by 168 hours of FTO/OJT (Field Training/On-The-Job).
All corrections staff receive a minimum of 40 hours of in-service training annually.
