Work Release
Program
The Douglas County
Work Release Center is located at 4602 N. 30th St. This facility can
hold up to 45 inmates on Work Release. Inmates are able to go to their
jobs and return to the Work Release Center daily. Work Release Officers
conduct random job site checks on those inmates assigned to the program.
House Arrest
Program
The Douglas County
House Arrest Program is located at 1909 Douglas Street. This program
is for inmates with non-violent charges. The inmate has an electronic
monitor attached to their ankle and the monitor tracks the movement
of the inmate. Inmates on this program are not allowed to leave their
house unless they are going to their job (Court approved), for treatment,
or to their scheduled volunteer work program. Inmates on House Arrest
are required to do volunteer work at the Food Bank, Together Inc.,
Metro Area Community Clean Up Programs, or work at the Douglas County
Fair on cleaning detail.

A process by which
inmates are evaluated by their criminal, behavioral histories and
programming needs for assignment to the least restrictive security
level of housing.
Good News Jail
and Prison Ministry
The services of
three full - time chaplains are provided free of charge to the Correctional
Center to address many of the inmates' needs, both spiritual and otherwise.
The Chaplains, along with a staff of volunteers provide one on counseling,
study materials and classes and church services for all inmates. The
Chaplains assist the correctional staff by handling death notifications,
counseling troubled inmates and handling emergency telephone calls.
The Chaplains are also available to serve the correctional staff.
