**Attention**: Changes in Inmate Postal Mail Services

The Douglas County Department of Corrections is changing our mail process to provide electronic mail services.  The changes are being made to streamline operations, improve communications, and ensure the safety and well-being of inmates and staff.

Electronic mail services are a quick and efficient way for inmates to receive letters and photos electronically.

Effective 11/7/2022, inmate postal mail must be sent to the following address:

Smart Communications / Douglas County Department of Corrections

Adam Smith # 123456 (example Inmate)

PO Box 9162

Seminole, FL 33775-9151

Any mail received at the facility after 11/21/2022, will be returned to the sender.

 DC Corrections Response to COVID-19

The Douglas County Department of Corrections is suspending onsite visitation effective immediately.  The Douglas County Department of Corrections welcomes well over 1,500 visitors per week for onsite video visitation, potentially placing our lobby staff and the visitors themselves at risk of infection.   

We are no longer taking book donations for our library until further notice.
